FREEHAND CHARCOAL | The Storm

Before Ceasing the Wind
This drawing was created for a final project in college. The project stipulated that we find artwork that was created by one of the "greats." I chose Rembrandt.

Rembrandt often painted pictures depicting Jesus and the disciples in religious settings, and although I didn't know this at first, his painting of "The Sea of Galilee," seemed like a good choice at the time. I enjoy the sea, the waves crashing, and tulmultuous behavior of it all, since this is what life is like, when you're doing the right thing.

To see the original, search for "Rembrandt, The Storm on the Sea of Galilee."

The project stipulated that it must be drawn in charcoal, on a sheet of 14" x 20."
